Manage Space

If you'd like to distribute the ability to manage the space and projects below it, you can use this permission option. It covers the following abilities:

  • Do everything the View Space permission can

  • Manage all tasks, applications, submissions

  • Manage Space settings

This permission is great to share the ability to manage your spaces & projects, accept applications, approve task submissions and much more, ensuring a more decentralised management effort

If you've connected your org/space to Discord already (following Connecting to Discord) then you can select from existing Discord Roles to automatically obtain this permission once they have the corresponding Discord role.

You can also manually select existing contributors, or use and Invite Link to add specific people to this permission.

Once you've customised the permission as you like you can hit Save to update the permissions.

Create Tasks

If you'd like to distribute the ability for members of your organisation to create their own tasks within the space and projects below it, you can setup this permission.

It allows members with the permission to create their own tasks and manage them (but not to attach a bounty to them).

This permission is great to allow more autonomy within your organisation and pairs well with reputation and levels of contribution within your organisation.

View Space

If you'd like to limit visibility and access to the space and the projects below it, you can toggle this permission and customise it further.

When it's turned on and members are given this permission they will be able to:

  • View the private Space, its projects and its tasks

  • Apply to tasks

  • Manage tasks they're assigned to or reviewing

  • Create and vote on Community Suggestions

Members without this permission will not be able to see this Space even on the Overview page of your organisation.

This permissions is especially helpful when you're setting up a space and don't want it visible as you get it prepared. Additionally it's helpful if you want to limit access to members with specific roles, reputation or trust levels based on the security or financial natures of the space.

Make sure you don't remove yourself from the View Space permission otherwise you won't be able to see the tasks or projects
